Most studies comparing the health of married and single people leave out the group that is divorced. Of the three groups, divorced people are typically the least healthy. A study of about 10,000 Dutch adults found that people who reported more health concerns going into the marriage were more likely to get divorced than people who were healthier. New research techniques are also debunking the myth that you will get healthier after you get married. In fact, a recent study showed the married people’s health declined slightly after getting married.
